MISSION

The Life Studios exists to document, preserve, and elevate the diverse lives, histories, and voices of LGBTQ people through clear, character-driven video storytelling that informs, connects, and deepens understanding.

VISION STATEMENT

We envision a media environment where LGBTQ lives are documented with depth, dignity, and permanence - where stories are preserved as part of the cultural record, and where understanding is built through clear, human-centered storytelling.

VALUES

Responsibility - We recognize the responsibility inherent in telling real people’s stories. We prioritize care, consent, and the potential impact of our work over speed or reaction.

Integrity - We approach storytelling with ethics, truth, and respect. Our work resists simplification, sensationalism, and predetermined conclusions.

Permanence - We believe LGBTQ stories deserve to be preserved as part of the historical and cultural record. Our work is created with the intention that it remain meaningful beyond moments of visibility or trend.

Humanity Over Ideology - LGBTQ lives matter because they are shaped by experience, work, relationships, and community. While grounded in collective history, our storytelling prioritizes human consequence over rhetoric - even when doing so requires difficult or uncomfortable choices.

Community Accountability - We remain accountable to the people and communities whose stories we document. Trust is central to our work and must be earned, maintained, and respected at every stage of the process.
